Q1. What is the process for applying to Plexus Medical Recruitment?
Please submit your resume via the Plexus Medical Recruitment apply online page. On receipt, the Managing Director will assess it and if you meet the minimum requirements to work in Australia and New Zealand, an interview will be arranged between you and the Medical Director of Plexus.
Q2. What is the purpose of an interview with the Medical Director of Plexus?
This is not a job interview as such, but an opportunity for Plexus to further understand your employment plans, needs, areas and specialties of interest. It is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the healthcare system and medical jobs in Australia and New Zealand.
Q3. What happens after the interview?
You will be allocated to one of our Recruitment Consultants. They will endeavour to contact you within 24 hours to introduce themselves, confirm details and start the employment search that best matches your requirements.
Q4. I have been asked to complete a "selection criteria". What is that?

Most advertised vacancies across Australia and New Zealand require a candidate to answer their selection criteria. It is essential that you detail in your application how you fulfil each of the selection criteria for the position. The manner in which you do this will determine whether you are short listed by the Selection Committee. Your application should be a written response to the selection criteria. It is important that you state specifically how you meet the selection criteria and are able to give examples to support this.

Your Recruitment Consultant will forward the selection criteria to you for each position and request that you complete and return it within a specific timeframe so a formal application can be made on your behalf.

Q5. Who decides on which post I am put forward for?

You do. Plexus Medical Recruitment will ask for detailed information from you that allows us to find a job that we think will suit all your requirements. If that post is not what you are looking for then we will be happy to repeat our search until we successfully find a post that suits you. It is important that you stay in regular contact with your Recruitment Consultant so you don’t miss any job opportunities. Most of our communication is done via email mainly because of the time differences that we encounter so please remember to check your email regularly!

Q6. I have been offered an interview by a Hospital – what happens next?
Should you accept an offer of an interview from a hospital, with your permission, Plexus will forward your preferred contact number for the panel to call you at an organised interview time. Most interview panels consist of 3 or more interviewers. This can be difficult when undertaking a interview over the telephone.
Q7. Is there any assistance with interview skills?
Yes. Plexus will provide you with a preparation guide that will be of assistance in preparing for the interview. Alternatively, our Medical Directors would be more than happy to discuss the interview with you and run through some practice question and answer sessions.
Q8. I have been offered a job and accepted – what happens next?

Following signing your contract, Plexus will assist you in organising your medical board registration and visa. We will require a number of documents but these will be listed clearly for you at the time.

To assist you in your move and ensure that it is a smooth one, on arrival to Australia or New Zealand, Plexus will arrange for you to be picked up from the airport and taken to a top class hotel for your first few nights to ensure your welcome to Australia is a happy and stress-free experience. This is all paid fro by Plexus.

Plexus will also be happy to provide you with suggestions for more permanent accommodation.
