Jobs List: Anaesthesia/ICU

The Australian and New Zealand college of Anaesthetists have agreed that some training programs are comparable to their own and so Overseas trained anaesthetists who meet their criteria are able to work unsupervised without any further training. However, Medicare provider number (Private Practice) restriction still apply and the overseas trained specialist may have to work in an area of need.

This is excellent news particularly for UK and Irish specialists. Please contact Plexus if you have any questions about your specific situation. All cases are assessed on an individual basis by ANZCA but we will be able to answer all your questions. Should you decide to apply we will guide you through the whole process and in the spirit of good anaesthetist will make the experience as pain free as possible.
